  • MANAGING PARTNER

    John T. Ablamsky III is the Managing Partner of Ablamsky & Company, where he advises hedge funds, private equity firms, venture capital professionals, founders, family offices, closely held businesses, and high-net-worth individuals on sophisticated tax matters.

    With more than 18 years of experience, John focuses on complex tax planning, partnership taxation, business structuring, investment fund taxation, and significant transactions. His clients rely on him for practical advice, technical precision, and responsive, year-round guidance on matters that extend well beyond tax compliance.

    John has developed particular expertise advising the investment management industry, including hedge funds, private equity firms, fund-of-funds, management companies, general partners, and investment advisors. His integrated approach considers the interaction between investment entities, operating businesses, trusts, and individual tax planning, allowing clients to make informed decisions with confidence.

    In addition to his client work, John has published technical tax analysis in Tax Notes, reflecting his commitment to staying at the forefront of complex tax issues affecting investment funds, private equity, and high-net-worth individuals.

    John earned his Bachelor of Arts from Binghamton University and his MBA in Accounting from Baruch College. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

    Greg Kiley is a Tax Director at Ablamsky & Company, where he advises high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, investment management firms, and family offices on sophisticated tax planning and compliance matters.

    With more than 14 years of experience, Greg focuses on complex individual taxation, partnership taxation, estate and trust planning, and business tax advisory services. He works closely with clients throughout the year to develop practical tax strategies that support their long-term personal and business objectives.

    Prior to joining Ablamsky & Company, Greg practiced with a national accounting firm, where he advised high-net-worth individuals and closely held entities, including investment management companies and general partner entities. His experience spans complex tax planning, partnership structures, and integrated tax strategies for owners and their businesses.

    Greg is both a Certified Public Accountant and a licensed Attorney, providing clients with a unique combination of technical tax expertise and legal perspective.

  • SENIOR TAX MANAGER

    Micheli Ablamsky is a Senior Tax Manager at Ablamsky & Company, where she oversees the firm's business entity tax practice. She advises corporations, partnerships, and closely held businesses on tax compliance, planning, and entity-level tax matters, while managing many of the firm's most complex business engagements.

    With more than eight years of public accounting experience, Micheli has developed extensive expertise in partnership and corporate taxation, business structuring, and multi-entity tax compliance. She works closely with clients to deliver technically sound advice while ensuring engagements are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

    Prior to joining Ablamsky & Company, Micheli practiced with RSM and EisnerAmper, where she advised clients across a broad range of industries and gained significant experience serving middle-market businesses and sophisticated business owners.

    In addition to advising clients, Micheli leads the firm's business tax operations, overseeing entity return preparation, technical review, and engagement workflow to help ensure a consistently high level of client service.

    Micheli is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in Taxation.

  • TAX MANAGER

    Jieren Tan is a Tax Manager at Ablamsky & Company, where he advises high-net-worth individuals, investment professionals, and closely held businesses on complex domestic and international tax matters. He plays a key role in the firm's individual tax practice, providing technical guidance on sophisticated planning and compliance engagements.

    With more than five years of public accounting experience, Jieren has developed significant expertise in partnership taxation, international tax reporting, foreign asset compliance, and multi-jurisdictional tax matters. His practice includes complex individual tax planning, investment partnership reporting, and international information reporting, including Forms 5471, 8865, 8938, FBAR, and related compliance.

    As a member of the firm's technical review team, Jieren is known for his analytical approach and strong command of complex tax issues. Prior to joining Ablamsky & Company, he advised Chinese clients on U.S. tax matters, giving him valuable experience working with cross-border individuals, businesses, and investments.

  • TAX SUPERVISOR

    Zhi (Zack) Li is a Tax Supervisor at Ablamsky & Company, CPAs, where he works closely with clients on tax compliance, reporting, and related matters. Since joining the firm in 2023, Zack has served ultra-high-net-worth individuals, including Forbes 400 clients, as well as clients across hedge fund, private equity, and family office structures.

    Zack prepares and reviews tax returns, assists with IRS and state notice responses, and serves as a day-to-day point of contact for many of the firm’s clients. His experience also includes foreign financial and international information reporting matters, including FATCA and related filings.

    Zack received his Master of Professional Accountancy from the University of California San Diego and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. He is fluent in Mandarin and English and conversational in Spanish, French, and Japanese.
