Be the #2 in a fast-growing firm—leading our internal tax function and client delivery
Review high-end individual, trust, and entity returns, and still get to solve hard problems
Lead a team of sharp mid-level and junior staff (onshore and offshore)
Run client calls, own deliverables, and drive outcomes—without being micromanaged
Help implement better systems, workflows, and client experience strategies
Be paid like a leader and treated like one

Reviewing and finalizing 1040s, 1041s, 1065s, and 1120S returns prepared by staff
Managing and mentoring a growing team (currently 3–5 people, expanding)
Directly interfacing with clients (especially those outside the top-tier managed by the owner)
Helping drive tax planning, projections, and process improvements
Taking ownership of internal deadlines, staff accountability, and review quality
Acting as the internal “calm in the storm” during busy season
Participating in or even leading technology rollouts (e.g., practice management)

CPA (mandatory) with 10+ years of experience in tax, preferably with HNW, trust, or PE/VC clients
Strong technical skills—able to review complex returns and spot issues others miss
Excellent communicator: able to handle demanding clients and manage up/down with clarity
Demonstrated success in leading a team and elevating the work around you
Comfortable with remote teams and cloud-based tools
Low ego, high standards, team-first mentality

$250,000–$300,000+ total comp (depending on experience and bonus structure)
Remote-only with flexible schedule and autonomy
