Job description

Senior Tax Manager:

Ablamsky & Company CPAs is looking for a Senior Tax Manager with 9+ years of experience in public accounting. Our clients include some of the wealthiest and most well-known titans of the hedge fund/private equity fund industry. A diligent, high quality senior tax manager will immediately be on "the partner track" in a high-performing firm growing revenue at 20%+ per year.

You will use your expertise in taxation to provide compliance and consulting services to hedge fund/investment management clients, and their private businesses and/or investment entities, etc. You will supervise/train staff, review individual and entity returns, and work closely with the Partners.

Responsibilities:

· High level technical review of complicated individual and entity tax returns

· Supervise and train staff

· Keeping abreast of changes in industry regulation, and maintain competency through continuing education

Basic Qualifications:

· 9+ years of public accounting or consulting experience in private client services

· Experience working for a Big 4 or large national/regional accounting firm

· Superior excel skills and the ability to create/review advanced workpapers

· Strong experience with private client services (personal taxation, trust taxation, estate & gift taxation, charitable taxation, with exposure to partnership taxation and corporate taxation, including State & Local income (SALT)/Franchise tax for multi-state filers). Exposure to reporting and filings related to foreign assets, investments and holdings would be a plus

· Experience in the review of tax returns for wealthy family members and their trusts, investment entities, and private businesses.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information and tax laws

Preferred Qualifications:

· Certified Public Account

· Masters of Taxation, or MBA

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $175,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year

Tax Associate:

We are a fast growing tax firm with numerous prominent ultra high net-worth clientele, mainly in the hedge fund/private equity fund industry.

We are looking for someone with 1-3 years of experience in public accounting, Big 4 a plus. You should have experience with preparing tax returns and workpapers in excel.

Salary: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, s-corps, tax-exempt orgs, etc.

- Preparing foreign tax filings, Forms 8621, 926, 8865, etc.

- To a lesser extent, payroll filings and bookkeeping

We would like you to have your CPA, or very close to completion.
